First team couple left out when West Brom’s Conor Gallagher’s omission explained

West Brom boss Slaven Bilic has been left with the same starting eleven that was beaten by Leicester City when Albion tackled Everton at Goodison Park this afternoon.

Boss Bilic is left without Conor Gallagher, who is unable to debut for the club here after signing on loan from Chelsea due to a delay in transfer paperwork.

Branislav Ivanovic is also missing while improving his fitness after arriving on a free transfer from Zenit St Petersburg earlier this week.

The same XI presumably means Bilic is sticking with his adopted 3-4-3 formation that was first out against Leicester, while on the bench there are a couple of notable absences.

There is no place in Matchday 18 for winger Kamil Grosicki or forward Charlie Austin, who failed to impress in a comfortable win over Harrogate in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.

Instead, there are seats on the bench for Cedric Kipre, for the first time, and young Sam Field, both of whom played 90 minutes on the week.

Matty Phillips is also on the bench, while Ahmed Hegazi is not yet ready to participate.

Everton, meanwhile, make their home debuts to Allan, James Rodríguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure following their impressive 1-0 win at Tottenham last weekend.
