The devastated family of a six-year-old girl who died after being struck by a fallen tree has paid tribute to their “beautiful girl.”

Ella Henderson was taken to the hospital after being injured at Gosforth Park First School in Newcastle on Friday afternoon.

Despite the efforts of the air ambulance and doctors, he died in the city’s RVI on Saturday morning.

His family has raised £ 48,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service in the days following his tragic loss.

Now they have launched a heartfelt tribute to their beloved daughter and sister and thanked everyone who tried to help her.

The family said: “She is our beautiful girl now and forever. We want to heartily thank the teachers, emergency services, and staff at RVI who went out of their way to help her.

“We are really touched by all the support and donations, even from people we have never met before.

“She was so brave and so strong, she brought so much joy to us, to her older sister Abi, to her family, to her best friends, and to everyone she met.

“We feel incredibly blessed to have had her in our lives. We had the perfect family and she will live in our hearts. ”

Northumbria Police Detective Inspector Steve Byrne said: “This was an incredibly tragic incident and our thoughts are with Ella’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

“We will continue to offer them all the support they need, and they have asked that their privacy be respected as they mourn the loss of Ella.”

After the tragedy, an investigation was launched with the police working in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive.
