Police have imposed fines after about 100 people were found at a wedding party in Bolton.
Greater Manchester Police said notices of fixed fines were served.
They said that more than 100 people attended what they described as a wedding party.
No further details have been released.
GMP has also not specified an exact location in Bolton.
The latest coronavirus figures released on Friday show that the city has the highest infection rate in the UK, with 179.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the local population during the week ending September 8.
Last Friday, the comparable figure for the city was 92.2, meaning the infection rate nearly doubled in seven days.
Bolton has been subject to an additional local lockdown.
New laws will also take effect from Monday that prohibit social gatherings of more than six people in England.
But despite this, police also revealed that fines were issued after a 60th birthday party was held in Bolton on Friday night.
The force did not specify how many people were found there, and no further details were released.
GMP revealed details of the parties on social media.
The force said: “Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN) have been delivered after a wedding party at #Bolton.
“100 people attended.
“Also in Bolton they served FPN tonight after a 60th birthday party.
“#Stay safe.”
Tighter lockdown measures were introduced into Bolton as Covid cases increased.
Pubs, cafes and restaurants can only serve take-out food, and venues must close after 10pm.
The ban on outdoor gathering will be legally enforced, the council said.
People from different households in Bolton are not to meet anywhere inside or outside, in the township or anywhere else.
Fixed fine notices for violating Covid-19 legislation cost £ 100, but drop to £ 50 if paid within 14 days.
