The heartbroken fiancee of a footballer killed by drunken thugs in a pub has revealed that she has given birth to her baby, eight months after his tragic death.

Kelly Bossons, 27, discovered she was pregnant with her ‘miracle daughter’ three weeks after the surprise death of her partner Jordan Sinnott.

The footballer, who played for Matlock Town FC in the Northern Premier League, was fatally punched to the ground in an attack provoked by the victim, who said one of his attackers was “fat and red-headed”.

The 25-year-old midfielder died in hospital after suffering a skull fracture and brain damage in the assault in downtown Retford, Nottinghamshire, on January 25.

But after months of grief over the loss of his fiancée, Kelly last month took to Facebook to share the good news: the birth of their baby daughter.

Kelly said she had decided to name the ‘beautiful girl’ Maisie Jordan Sinnott, after her father, who said she will ‘always take care of us’.

She said in the post: ‘Yesterday morning (September 28) Maisie Jordan Sinnott entered the world.

This is a far cry from the story your dad and I had planned for you, but he will always be looking out for us. Our beautiful girl, how special you are. ‘

In an interview with The Mirror, the sales manager added: ‘Our miracle daughter was a gift from Jordan to me. My heart breaks when I think of how much I would have loved her.

“He loved his family, my family and wanted nothing more than to create ours.

“Now, thanks to the brutal jealousy of two bullies, I am left without the love of my life and Maisie will never meet her adorable, funny and kind dad.”

In July, a court heard how three men attacked Sinnott, the son of former Bradford and Crystal Palace star Lee Sinnott, after a ‘misplaced joke’ in a bar.

Sinnott was with his two friends Ben Bossons and Adam Towlson at The Vine pub before the attack, Nottingham Crown Court heard.

Another man, 23-year-old Kai Denovan, ‘followed quickly’. Prosecutors said Denovan “was immediately enraged” after the footballer joined in what he believed to be the defendant’s “self-deprecating humor.”

The jurors heard that the man told Mr. Sinnott that he was a “handsome boy” and that he would have no problem “attracting girls”, unlike him, who was “fat and red-headed.”

At a sentencing hearing at Nottingham Crown Court, Cameron Matthews, 22, left, was imprisoned for eight years and three months.

It was Kai Denovan of Retford, who was found guilty of manslaughter after a trial, who instigated the attack, the judge said.

At a sentencing hearing at Nottingham Crown Court in July, Cameron Matthews, 22, left, was jailed for eight years and three months. But it was Kai Denovan of Retford, right, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter after a trial, who instigated the attack, the judge said.

Sinnott responded, “Yes, I can see that,” which the prosecution said led to the attack.

Nottingham Crown Court heard that Denovan’s comment was a “deliberate honey trap”.

A small fight broke out, but Mr. Sinnott and his friends left the bar.

After Mr. Sinnott’s group walked away from more trouble, out of the pub and up the street, Denovan “pointed them out” and rekindled the earlier violence.

Prosecutor Michael Auty QC told jurors that Sinnott was willing to apologize for any offense caused, but described Denovan and his group, including Cameron Matthews and a third man, Sean Nicholson, as a ‘herd seeking and demanding retaliation. ‘.

Denovan caught Mr. Sinnott with what one witness described as a “fool”, but it was Matthews, of Retford, who delivered the fatal blows: he knocked Mr. Sinnott to the ground where he suffered a brain injury.

Denovan, of Retford, was found guilty of manslaughter after a trial in Nottingham Crown Court.

He was jailed for 11 years, after Judge John Burgess told him that he had “played a leading role in the group.”

It was he who made the ‘joke’ and then threw the first punch during an earlier incident in the pub, when he objected to Mr. Sinnott’s response, the court heard.

“It was his grudge,” the judge told him.

Matthews, 22, of Retford, was jailed for eight years and three months after pleading guilty to murder.

The third man, Nicholson, 22, of Retford, admitted to a scuffle in connection with the street fight and was jailed for 14 months.
