What was the format of the giveaway?
The draw consisted of 12 group champions, 12 group runners-up and eight third-party teams from the Champions League that advanced to the knockout phase of the Europa League.
The clubs were divided into two boats, with the 12 group winners and the four teams with the best Champions League record all seeded.
No team can play against a club from their Europa League group or a team from the same national federation at this stage, which means that there is no Premier League tie yet.
Ties will be played over two matches, with the seeds at home in the second leg matches.
