Erling Haaland has hailed Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk as ‘incredible’ as Manchester United’s goal opened up about his transfer future.
Haaland is one of the best properties in European football, having scored 12 goals in 11 games since joining Borussia Dortmund in January.
Before his move to Germany, the 19-year-old forward had been on fire for Red Bull Salzburg, scoring 16 goals in 14 games in the Austrian Bundesliga,
The Norwegian hotshot also scored eight Champions League goals for Salzburg, one of which was against Liverpool in a 4-3 victory for Jurgen Klopp’s team at Anfield in October.
During that game, and again in a 2-0 loss to Salzburg’s second group game in October, Haaland faced defensive colossus Van Dijk, saying the Dutchman has all the qualities he could wish for in a central half.

Meanwhile, former Haaland boss Jessie Marsch said the player will be “fun to watch for years to come.”
The Salzburg head coach said: “What makes Erling so special is his mentality.”
“For starters, he was at the World Youth Cup, he scored nine goals in one game.
“We gave each of our players who had international obligations three weeks off before they supposedly came with us. Erling had six days off and then he said ‘no, I want to go to camp.’
“Erling came to Salzburg last winter, played a game in the spring, so he sat on the bench a lot.”
“He was so eager to start testing himself; I knew right away that this boy had ambition and annoyance.”
Marsch added: “He is not afraid, he is competitive, he has a drive to improve, he is equipped with many qualities that make him very different and special, along with skill and raw talent. It will be fun to see him in the future. Years, that is insurance “.
