ENGLAND stars Ben Chilwell, Jadon Sancho and Tammy Abraham have been filmed attending a packed birthday party ahead of today’s team meeting.
The soccer stars were at a gathering of about 20 friends and family, clearly disobeying strict Covid-19 laws.
With all three playing Wales on Thursday, it is feared they have put the national team in danger.
There seemed to be little social distancing at Abraham’s surprise party on Saturday for Abraham’s 23rd birthday.
The party at their London mansion came just 36 hours before the trio reported for service in England.
One reveler said: “It was a great party. We wanted to do something nice for her birthday. But maybe we don’t think it through. “
Coronavirus laws prohibit people from mixing in groups of more than six, with fines of up to £ 10,000.
Footage from the party, following Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace in which left-back Chilwell scored, circulated on social media. A video shows Chilwell, 23, laughing with his teammate Abraham after seeing him chatting with a blonde.
Striker Abraham is filmed with his girlfriend, Leah Monroe, as a group of about 20 sing Happy Birthday.
Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho, 20, with a mask around his chin, is seen dancing in the crowd.
The FA reviewed the footage and said there will be no changes to the England team at this stage.
There has been no reaction yet from England coach Gareth Southgate with players arriving this morning at St George’s Park, Staffs.
The stars will be tested for Covid-19 and will remain in an isolation bubble before the Wembley friendly.
Southgate left two other young stars, Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood, out of the team for violating Covid protocols with two Icelandic beauties last month.
A source close to Abraham said of the party: “I really had no idea what was going to happen. He and Sancho did not drink alcohol.
“They were just very close family and friends, and they even did temperature checks upon arrival.”
Abraham said, “I got home and found a little surprise meeting.
“Although I did not know this was planned, I would like to sincerely apologize for the naivety shown by the organization and attendance at this meeting.
“All I can do now is learn from it, apologize to everyone, and make sure it never happens again.”
