Ed Sheeran has said that he is “on the cloud” after announcing the birth of his first child.
Revealing the happy news in Instagram In his first social media post since December, the star said his wife, Cherry Seaborn, gave birth to a baby girl last week.
The couple have named their daughter Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
In her post, Sheeran shared a snap of a pair of baby socks and said that Cherry had given birth to a “beautiful and healthy daughter: Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.”
He continued, “We are completely in love with her. Both mom and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine here.”
The Instagram message received more than 500,000 likes, including one of David beckham – within an hour of being posted, with fans congratulating the couple on their news.
Sheeran, 29, has kept her relationship with Seaborn out of the limelight, confirming in 2019 that they had tied the knot but did not reveal any further information.
