Starting today, McDonald’s fans in the UK will be able to get their hands on Big Macs and nuggets again, as branches will reopen for the first time since they closed their doors in March.
Fifteen stores have reopened for delivery only, and next week McDonald’s has confirmed that another 30 drives will be opened as part of a test to reopen stores across the UK.
The complete list of McDonald’s stores open for delivery today (May 13) is as follows:

McDonald’s has not yet said which self-service branches have been selected to reopen next week.
McDonald’s has said: “In recent days, an updated government guide was shared in both the UK and Ireland, making it clear that takeaways and deliveries can work.”
“In line with government guidance, next week we will begin the next phase of reopening another 30 pilot restaurants in the UK and Ireland, offering service via the Drive-Thru lane beginning Wednesday, May 20. Moving forward as In accordance with government guidelines, we plan to reopen all of our Drive-Thrus in early June.

“We will keep the restaurant locator up to date on our website as we reopen our Drive Thrus in the coming weeks.”
The restaurant has also introduced a new menu rule, which means that shoppers can only order food worth up to £ 25.
The order limit applies to delivery orders, and will also apply when 30 drive-thrus are opened in the UK next week.
There will also be a limited menu for delivery and orders by car.

The staff must follow strict security measures and social distancing guidelines in the kitchens.
In a statement to shoppers about their new safety precautions, McDonald’s said: “Starting May 20, we will also limit spending on our Drive Thrus to £ 25 per car and recommend that you pay with contactless payment methods whenever may be possible”.
These join the other security and wellness measures that we have introduced in all restaurants:
· Fewer people in the kitchen and service areas, serving a reduced menu during reduced hours;
· The use of non-contact thermometers, with controlled temperatures when arriving at work
· Perspex displays at key locations in kitchen and service areas;
· Protective equipment for our people, including gloves for clients and messengers, against facial positions and covers, but not of the type required by health professionals;
· And additional training on cleaning practices, including increased frequency of hand washing and additional disinfection of contact points around the restaurant.
