Diogo Jota is expected to be out for six to eight weeks with a knee injury, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
Jota took a hit in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Midtjylland in the Champions League and a question was initially ruled out for Sunday’s trip to Fulham. Jota managed 87 minutes before being replaced by Sadio Mane.
The Portuguese forward was left out of the squad on Sunday, but Klopp revealed that he would not have to undergo surgery.
“It’s worse than we thought at first, but better than we thought (later). Potential surgeons examined him and no surgery is needed, but he will be out for a while,” Klopp said. Sky Sports.
