Dawn O’Porter has revealed that she believes her late friend Caroline Flack has been ‘looking out’ for her and has sent ‘signals’ since her death.

The Love Island host, who passed away at age 40, was found dead in her London home on February 15 after taking her own life.

Commenting on how she continues to grapple with the loss of her friend eight months later, the 41-year-old author said she “feels Caroline in everything,” The Daily Star reports.

In detailing her pain, which she also discusses in the new book Life In Pieces, Dawn said: ‘I feel it in everything. More than anyone else who has lost.

However, he added: ‘Caroline has been throwing posters at me like a fireball and I’ve been grabbing all of them and holding on tight.’

Dawn, giving an example of these signs, revealed that one morning she discovered that her children’s toys had been destroyed by crows at her home in Los Angeles.

The presenter went on to explain how she found out that crows have funerals, and as she looked up at the sky, an airplane began to write “Be Kind.”

After Caroline’s death, a movement swept through social media and saw thousands of people using the hashtag #BeKind.

Dawn said: ‘I couldn’t believe what I was seeing … she sent the crows so I didn’t miss it. It’s all obvious

Dawn, who is married to actor Chris O’Dowd, also reveals that she is still dealing with the pain and grief of her friend’s death in her new book Life In Pieces.

She reveals: ‘I wake up at night, every night, and the first thing I see is Caroline.’

It comes after Dawn spoke candidly about how to deal with the grief following Caroline’s death earlier this year.

Since her death, Dawn has regularly posted tributes to the star on her Instagram page and shared heartwarming insights about their friendship.

In April, Dawn candidly detailed her experience with grief and shared an old photograph of the duo at an event together in 2015.

Alongside the image, Dawn wrote: ‘This was a great night for me. Caroline appeared, as always. I keep hoping it feels easier. It’s not like that.

‘I guess this is just a feeling that a lot of us have to live with right now. Pain shouldn’t be felt alone when so many billions of people have felt it, but still feel it. ”

She added: ‘Maybe it’s because no one can replace what you lost, and everyone is different from everyone else.’

Reflecting on some of her friend’s favorite qualities, she said: ‘Caroline meant a lot to me. She meant a lot to a lot of people in many different ways. Because she was special. That laugh. That humor. That loyalty. I miss it all. ‘

Paying Homage: Dawn also marked the fifth anniversary of Caroline's tragic death with a throwback from both of them together.

Dawn also speculated on how Caroline would have dealt with the coronavirus isolation, saying: ‘To think that I didn’t even know anything about what happened to the world. I bet he still would have put the stick to his nails in isolation. I miss you my love.’

Caroline tragically took her own life at her Stoke Newington home on February 15, a day after learning that the CPS would pursue an assault case against her after a fight with boyfriend Lewis Burton at their home in December.

After her passing, Dawn was one of Caroline’s many friends to post a tribute to her on social media along with a selection of photographs.

Dawn thanked her ‘funny’ and ‘silly’ friend for all the memories, adding that no dance floor ‘will ever be the same again.’
