David and Victoria Beckham reportedly contracted coronavirus after partying in Los Angeles.

Several family members and staff members of the couple are also said to have been attacked by the deadly virus, according to The Sun.

The ‘blowout’ came after the launch of David’s new soccer club, Inter Miami.

A source close to the family described it as an ‘absolute nightmare scenario’ that left Posh fearing that his family was ‘super spreader’.

They explained: “David was on duty at his club, Inter Miami, and Victoria and the family flew in to support him.”

“They attended a couple of fancy networking events as David had promotional duties, and they were shaking hands and kissing fans and various club dignitaries.

“Then they flew back to London, and were taken straight to their Cotswolds mansion.”

The family celebrated Brooklyn 21 with a lavish party at their country retreat shortly before making another trip back to the United States.

The lavish Brooklyn party on March 6 saw celebrities like Stormzy and Emma Bunton mingle with the famous family.

The family is said to be in quarantine for two weeks after symptoms developed.

In recounting how the diagnosis was made, the source said: “David began to feel ill and then Victoria developed a sore throat.

“At the same time, several members of his team, including drivers, bodyguards and assistants, fell ill, a couple of them very seriously.

“Victoria really panicked and had the whole family rigidly quarantined for more than two weeks,” the source said.

The former Spice Girl is said to have been terrified that her brood was ‘super spreader’ and did her best to minimize her risk despite being ill.

“It was a difficult few weeks,” the source said.

Posh and Becks made a full recovery and are said to have communicated regularly with their team for updates on their well-being.

The thoughtful couple is even reported to have sent ‘care packages’ to at least two staff members who were particularly affected by the symptoms.

After keeping their alleged illness a secret, the Beckham clan were happy to update their fans online on how they spent the rest of the confinement on their sprawling Cotswold estate.

Fashionista Victoria was photographed ‘working from home’, while Spice Girl and her children were also filmed applauding the caretakers on numerous occasions.

When travel restrictions were lifted, the family went on vacation to Greece and Italy.

The Sun reports that the family had swabs and antibody tests to make sure they were safe for travel.

The ordeal is said to have originated on March 1 when Beckham’s team, Inter Miami, played their first away game at Los Angeles FC.

David, Victoria, their four children and now-fiancee from Brooklyn, Nicola Petlz, watched from the stands.

Five days later, the family marked Brooklyn 21 with a huge party.

During the lockdown, the family led celebrities supporting NHS front-line workers and shared videos of them participating in the weekly Clap for Carers event.

Victoria even spoke to two teams of healthcare workers and told her Instagram followers at the time: “We all have to do our part to stay home and help these amazing workers and their colleagues on the front lines.”

Mirror Online has reached out to representatives for David and Victoria for comment.
