Covid UK News – Live: Pfizer Vaccine Could Gain ‘Early December’ Approval

[ad_1]

Boris Johnson has appointed a dedicated minister to take over the deployment of the Covid vaccine, days after Labor warned the paper was necessary to avoid a repeat of the errors seen in PPE and NHS Test and Trace.

Nadhim Zahawi will be appointed Minister of Health, with responsibility for the coronavirus vaccine, Downing Street announced. The temporary fix will last at least until next summer.

Meanwhile, the first coronavirus vaccine could be approved by regulators in the UK in “early to mid-December,” an NHS chief said, as reports suggest health personnel could take the first hits in few days.

Hospitals have been told to prepare for the launch of the Pfizer / BioNTech jab to begin in just 10 days, according to the guardian.

It came as Michael Gove warned that every hospital in England could be overwhelmed with coronavirus cases if MPs do not support the new tiered system of restrictions.
