Another 54,990 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the UK, the sixth day in a row that new cases exceeded 50,000.

The total number of people who have died in the 28 days after a positive coronavirus test in the UK stands at 75,024.
Among the latest figures, 386 more people have died with the virus in England, according to the NHS.
The patients were between 30 and 107 years old and all but 18 (who were between 59 and 95 years old) of whom had known underlying health conditions.
Public Health Wales said there had been 56 more deaths and Northern Ireland reported another six. Scotland reported no further coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday.
There comes a day before schools begin to reopen, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson insists that classrooms are safe.
Pressure is mounting on Johnson to keep schools closed amid rising COVID-19 cases, and teacher unions say classrooms must keep their doors closed for at least another two weeks.
Speaking to the BBC’s Andrew Marr, Johnson also refused to rule out imposing stricter restrictions across the country in the coming weeks.
Monday also marks the start of the next stage of the vaccine launch, with the Oxford / AstraZeneca jab be available to the NHS.
Around 530,000 doses of the British-developed vaccine will be available for initial deployment, with more than 700 sites in England destined to distribute it.
