A murder investigation is underway in Coulsdon after a man was stabbed to death in an apartment.
Croydon Metropolitan Police officers were called to an apartment on Reddown Road at 9.27pm on Friday, October 16, to report that a man had been seriously attacked.
A 59-year-old man was found with stab wounds and head injuries. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10 p.m.
The relatives of the victim have been informed.
Officers responding to the attack arrested a man, in his 30s, near the scene on suspicion of murder. The man complained of discomfort and was taken to hospital.
Police want residents to know that officers from the Met’s Southern Area Command Unit will be conducting additional patrols around Coulsdon. Local people with concerns or information about crime in the area are urged to speak with these officers.
