Coronavirus Rules Survey: How Well Do You Understand Wales’ New Set of National Restrictions?

[ad_1]

As Wales’ fire lockdown comes to an end, a new set of national restrictions will take place from 9 November.

The Welsh government says the new rules will be simpler to follow, as they will apply across the country rather than vary by location. As of Monday, the need to maintain a social distancing of two meters and wear face masks in closed public places, even in public transport and taxis, remains the same. The requirement to work from home will also remain in effect whenever possible.

However, the rules for socializing will be very different. The Government of Wales has decided that people should only meet with their “bubble” in their own home or garden and only two households can form one.

Meanwhile, up to 15 people can participate in an organized indoor activity and up to 30 in an organized outdoor activity, provided all social distancing, hand hygiene, and other safety measures are followed. You can see the full and complete rules here.

Good news for businesses is that hospitality venues such as restaurants, cafes, pubs and gyms, closed during the firebreak, will be able to reopen.

And according to advice during the pandemic, people should avoid nonessential travel.

There will no longer be legal restrictions on travel within Wales for residents, but international travel should be for essential reasons only, the Government has said.

Schools will also reopen, churches and places of worship will resume services, community centers will be available for small group meetings indoors, and local authorities will be able to resume services.
