The organizer of a rave near Bristol over the weekend has been fined £ 10,000 after violating coronavirus regulations.
Somerset Police broke illegal event at a warehouse in South Gloucestershire on October 31 after reports from a member of the public.

Police Chief Andy Marsh said: “The appalling violence and hostility shown towards the police, something I have rarely seen in my police career, was totally unacceptable and reprehensible.”

Mr. Marsh added: “It is difficult to adequately explain how reckless it was to host an unlicensed music event during a pandemic that has claimed so many lives.”
“We are facing a time in this pandemic when scientists and doctors are warning of the serious risks and consequences of not controlling the virus.
“Millions of people across the country are making sacrifices every day to protect the NHS, while key workers take shifts 24 hours a day to help their communities.
“However, those involved in this event acted in a criminal and shameful manner, with no thought of anyone but themselves. It was deliberately organized in secret without taking into account the current situation facing the country at this time.”
In all, eight arrests were made at the event for a number of crimes, including violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker.
