This means additional and longer trains on many routes, especially at peak times.
RDG Director of Nations and Regions Robert Nisbet told BBC Radio 4 Today program: “Today is really about telling travelers that ‘you can travel with confidence’, that we are going to put more trains to increase capacity.
“But also what we are doing is ensuring that these trains are safe to travel by increasing hygiene (and) cleanliness in stations and on trains.”

Assaults on police officers in the United Kingdom increased by 21 per cent during the coronavirus lockdown, according to the figures, and forces reported a “particularly nasty trend” of spitting and coughing among criminals.
