Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer isolates himself after a member of his household showed possible symptoms of coronavirus.

Sir keir will now work from home and will not speak in today’s House of Commons debate on the controversial internal market legislation.

It is understood that he has not shown any COVID-19 symptoms himself.

The Labor leader took part in an LBC radio show on Monday morning.

A spokesman for the Labor leader said: “This morning Keir Starmer was advised to isolate himself after a member of his household showed possible symptoms of the coronavirus.

“Your household member has now had a test.

“According to NHS guidelines, Keir will isolate himself while awaiting test results and further advice from medical professionals.”

Early Monday morning, Sir Keir appeared on a telephone show on LBC Radio and appeared in the station’s studio alongside host Nick Ferrari.

It is understood that the Labor leader was alerted to his need for self-isolation soon after.

Sir Keir’s office has contacted LBC to inform them.
