One municipality, Camden, has already seen its coronavirus rate drop in seven days below 100 per 100,000, one of the thresholds previously used to be at Tier 1.

Westminster and Southwark are also close to this level, meaning that a swath of central London, so crucial to the British economy, could soon have level 1 infection rates.

Richmond, Lewisham, and Wandsworth are also heading toward this Covid-19 rate of 100 / 100,000.

Twenty-two districts saw a drop in the number of confirmed cases in the week through Nov.20, according to official figures.

Seven more had an increase of less than eight percent and could easily see declines in the coming days.

London’s seven-day exchange rate has fallen from what seems increasingly likely to have been a second wave peak of 199.6 around November 15 to 181.8 on November 20.

Reports suggested that London and Liverpool are likely to move to Level 2, but Manchester and more parts of the North West and Northeast may be at Level 3.

In Wandsworth, there were 414 cases in the week through Nov. 20, 209 (33.5 percent) less than the previous week and with a seven-day per 100,000 rate of 125.6.
