Princes William and Harry are “ very upset and angry ” over a controversial new documentary that will claim that Princess Diana attempted suicide four times.
According to The Sun, a four-part series tentatively called ‘Being Me: Diana’ will delve deeper into the mental torment suffered by the royal deceased, from battling eating disorders to his unhappy marriage to Prince Charles and the painful childhood.
She will use invisible footage from Diana’s speeches filmed before the Princess of Wales’ death in 1997, as well as interviews with people close to her to shed light on her internal confusion shortly before separating from Charles in 1992.
The series is being made by the television company DSP, which was behind ITV’s 127 Hours and Torvill And Dean. The project is planned for Netflix, but has not yet been commissioned.
It will be particularly upsetting to Harry, who worked with the streaming service on a Thomas The Tank Engine 75th anniversary special after he and Meghan Markle resigned as royalty earlier this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also believed to be in talks with Netflix about other future projects.
A television source told the publication that The Firm will refuse to participate in the documentary series, as will the Spencer family.
“William and Harry will be very upset and angry,” they added. ‘It is particularly distressing for Harry because he has been working with Netflix.
“At a time when royalty has taken a hit with Harry and Meghan leaving, the timing is not good.”

A spokeswoman for Endemol Shine, the parent company of DSP, told The Sun: “This is not a commissioned program and everything related to treatment is already in the public domain.”
Charles and Diana were married in the Cathedral of Saint Paul in front of 2,000 people on July 29, 1981.
In 1992, Prime Minister John Major announced that the couple would separate, but they would continue to live together at Kensington Palace.
They divorced in 1996 and a year later Diana died in a car accident in Paris. In 2005 Prince Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles at Windsor Guildhall.

In a video released late last month, the Duke of Sussex presented a new show for Netflix called ‘Thomas and Friends: The Royal Engine,’ which features his father and grandmother, Prince Charles and the Queen, as animated characters.
A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman confirmed that the project had been in the pipeline for “a long time,” adding that “everyone knew it” before it was broadcast, including the Queen.
The episode was filmed before Harry and his wife Meghan resigned as royalty and moved to the United States.
Proceeds from the anniversary edition, which aired in the US USA A day before the UK, they are donated to environmental and sustainability projects under the Harry’s Travalyst project.

Meghan has done similar work in pursuit of financial independence and moving to the US. USA, Narrating the Disney + Elephant documentary that began airing on April 3, three days after she and Harry officially left real life. She also donated the proceeds from the project to charities.
