Conservative pundits criticize liberal media for ruling out Trump

Trump’s allies have lined up to attack pro-Biden sections of the American media after predictions of a Democratic slide collapsed at the first signs of electoral upheaval.

The president’s conservative cheerleaders took to the air to satirize American commentators for constantly dismissing him during the course of the campaign.

Despite strong performance in opinion polls and expert forecasts, Biden has failed to turn crucial states like Florida and Ohio blue.

Biden supporters warn that an early rally for President Trump could be a ‘red mirage’ and that mail-in ballots will tip the balance for Biden when counted.

But Trump supporters triumphed tonight because their man has defied expectations of a beating, as he did four years ago.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh pointed to a gulf between liberal commentators and voters, heralding Trump’s upset tonight as a watershed moment in the American media landscape.

He told Fox & Friends: ‘I look at conventional wisdom and make sure I never follow it.

It’s always wrong and it’s groupthink. Why do you want to agree with what others think?

And he added: ‘Everybody thinks it’s a group of Democrats who hate Trump because they hate him and they can’t wait to vote against this and that’s what the media has been telling us.’

Former White House strategist and populist activist Steve Bannon, who now hosts the conservative radio show War Room, took aim at “bogus pollsters” and liberal media.

Since leaving the Trump administration in 2018, Bannon has drawn the ire of the president, but today he joined his former boss’s side in crushing experts.

He said: ‘Remember we were supposed to be here for the big blue wave and be absolutely smashed by a Walter Mondale-type loss at the hands of Joe Biden.

‘If you go back to the polls, now is the time to interrupt these people … this is what it’s not going to be.

“It’s not going to be a big blue wave, there is not going to be a Joe Biden knockout wave.”

Republican Senator Lindsay Graham, who retained his South Carolina seat despite Democrats pouring millions into challenger Jaime Harrison’s campaign, lashed out at pollsters.

In his acceptance speech, he said: ‘Are you not happy that this election is coming to an end? I’ve already had two phone calls. One from President Trump. Is going to win! For all pollsters, they have no idea what they are doing. And for all the liberals in California and New York, you have wasted a lot of money.

Nigel Farage, leader of the UK Brexit Party and friend of the President, stepped into the US elections to hit the establishment.

He told talkRadio: ‘We have this whole situation where we have a political class that everyone thinks the same way, a media class that everyone thinks the same way, a corporate business class that everyone thinks the same way, a electoral class that everyone thinks the same way.

“Everyone should have been bankrupt after 2016 and finally they will.”

Actor James Wood, a staunch Trump supporter, tweeted: ‘Right now we just don’t know. However, one thing we DO know for sure is that pollsters are a bunch of monkeys: ridiculous, biased, completely inept, poop-shedding monkeys. ”

Buck Sexton, who hosts a conservative radio show, tweeted: “ People will never trust the elites of journalists, fact-checkers, or pollsters again, all thanks to Trump, God bless him.

Fox News anchor Steve Hilton said the wrong calls were made because American voters are fed up with anti-Trump rhetoric crushing their throats and pushing them in the opposite direction.

He said the result was a mass of “Trump shy” voters who don’t register their true feelings in opinion polls.

He said: ‘If all you hear every day is that Trump is an evil racist monster, then you will be less likely to admit it to pollsters.’

Trump has repeatedly rejected damning opinion polls and insisted he will keep the White House, facing up to double-digit polls in the states heading into the election.

Pollsters predict that voters will desert Trump, who has come under fire for his handling of the coronavirus crisis and racial tensions in the United States.

In the early hours of this morning, the popular vote was practically tied, while the battlefields of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were up for grabs.
