Derek Chisora vs. Oleksandr Usyk will air on BBC Radio 5 Live on Saturday as part of a deal that also includes the upcoming Anthony Joshua fight.
Chisora’s fight at Wembley Arena starts a frenzied spell on British boxing and BBC Radio 5 Live will broadcast front-row commentary for four big fight nights.
The deal includes world title fights with Katie Taylor on November 14 and Billy Joe Saunders on December 4.
Heavyweight world champion Joshua faces off against Kubrat Pulev on December 12.
“We were there for Anthony Joshua’s redemption mission in Saudi Arabia last December and we will be back in the ring for his first fight in over a year,” said BBC Sport boxing correspondent Mike Costello.
With Billy Joe Saunders also back in action and Katie Taylor topping a bill with three fights for the women’s world title, we have seldom put on a more hectic spell of boxing at 5 Live.
“Joshua’s match with Kubrat Pulev closes an unprecedented series of fights in British heavyweight boxing and it all starts at Wembley Arena on Saturday.”
All bouts will be behind closed doors at Wembley Arena and BBC Sport will offer live text commentary along with radio coverage.
Chisora, 36, is an underdog against Ukraine’s Usyk, who has 17 wins in 17 bouts and held all four world cruiserweight titles before moving up to the heavyweight division.
Taylor’s fight two weeks later will see the 34-year-old Irish risk her four women’s lightweight world titles against undefeated 37-year-old Miriam Gutierrez from Spain. Fight night features three women’s fights, all for world titles at different weights, at the top. of the card.
The 31-year-old Saunders will be looking to find momentum to defend his WBO super middleweight world title against fellow Briton Martin Murray on December 4. The 38-year-old Murray has fought for a world title four times before, and all five of his career losses in 45 bouts have come against elite opponents.
And Joshua will complete a hectic run up to Christmas when he faces Pulev of Bulgaria with three of the four world heavyweight titles at stake.
A win could go a long way toward arranging a meeting in 2021 with Tyson Fury, who fights on December 5 and has the only belt Joshua doesn’t own.
