Neil Lennon admitted last weekend that he might need to be loyal to the players who helped Celtic reach the Scottish Cup final.
The Hoops have won back-to-back games against Lille and Kilmarnock, as fringe stars like David Turnbull and Ismaila Soro have impressed the Parkhead boss.
But the big question is whether Lennon will stick with the fit pair or call in his most experienced players for the Hearts clash, like Scott Brown, who has been out in recent weeks.
Lennon’s comments suggested the latter, but then backtracked a bit in the run-up to the game as he insisted there is no room for sentimentality.
He said: “We are more or less fixed on the team. We may have to make a decision about a position, but there will be no sentimentality or anything like that. We are going to choose a team to win the game.
Lennon’s team selection has been difficult to predict throughout the season and Sunday will be no different.
But if there is no room for sentimentality, he should stick with the players who have turned Celtic around.
Conor Hazard should keep his place in goal with four defenders from Jeremie Frimpong, Kris Ajer, Christopher Jullien and Diego Laxalt.
Lennon should pick a midfield three from Callum McGregor, Soro and Turnbull with a three up front from Ryan Christie, Mohamed Elyounoussi and Odsonne Edouard.
Celtic predicted XI vs Hearts: Hazard, Frimpong, Ajer, Jullien, Laxalt, Soro, McGregor, Turnbull, Christie, Elyounoussi, Edouard.
