Celtic will travel to Latvia or San Marino in the Europa League third qualifying round.

The Scottish champions will meet the winners of the second qualifying round tie between Riga or Tre Fiori on 24 September.

Neil Lennon’s team enters the Europa League at this stage after losing their Champions League second qualifying round match against Hungarian champion Ferencvaros last week.

Rangers could face Progres Niederkorn for the third time in four seasons, if they beat the Lincoln Reds of Gibraltar in their second-round qualifying tie and the Luxembourg team can overtake Dutch Willem II.

Progres caused discomfort by knocking out Pedro Caixinha’s team in the first qualifying round of the same competition in 2017.

Then the Rangers beat them last season as they won 2-0 at Ibrox before drawing scoreless in the second leg.

Tottenham will face another absent day if they can safely overcome Bulgarian Lokomotiv Plovdiv after they faced either Botosani of Romania or Shkendija of Macedonia in the third qualifying round.

That match would be sandwiched between a trip to Southampton and a home game against Newcastle in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Aberdeen have a difficult draw with Sporting Lisbon should they beat Viking Norway.

The third round opponents of Motherwell or Coleraine will be the Albanian team KF Laci or Israel’s Hapoel Beer-Sheva.

Be’er Sheva raced Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic in the Champions League play-offs four seasons ago, winning the second leg in Israel 2-0 after losing 5-2 in Glasgow.

Welsh teams were also well represented in the draw, with the Quay Nomads of champions Connah’s delivering an away draw against Icelandic team KI Klaksvik should they knock out Dinamo Tbilisi.

Bala will entertain FK Vojvodina of Serbia if they beat Standard Liege, while The New Saints’ reward for beating B36 Torshavn would be a trip to CSKA Sofia or Bate Borisov.

Meanwhile, Linfield of Northern Ireland will play at home to Flora Tallinn or KR Rejkavik if they beat Floriana of Malta.

Matches are scheduled for Thursday, September 24, with the winners of the playoffs advancing to the Europa League play-off round.

All qualifying rounds this season will be single-game matches behind closed doors, with extra time and a penalty shoot-out if necessary.
