Cardi B’s husband, Offset, was steamed live apparently he was detained by police on Saturday near a march by Donald Trump supporters.

The 28-year-old rapper recorded his run-in with Los Angeles police officers trying to get the musician, who was later photographed handcuffed, out of his car.

In the footage, a police officer appears to suggest that there were reports of men “brandishing weapons at people.”

Offset later responded that one of Trump’s supporters had hit his car with a flag before police stopped him.

Police have confirmed that Offset was not arrested, with TMZ reporting that he was detained and later released without charge, and there is no indication that he was involved in any crime.

At the time, Offset had been traveling through Beverly Hills as a large group of Trump supporters carrying flags and wearing masks marched through the area.

Offset’s wife, Cardi B, also recorded herself driving through Los Angeles and explained on her Instagram that she was “scared” by Trump supporters.

In the pictures, Offset is sitting in his car as officers demand that he turn off the engine and get out.

Offset says officers point guns at him and he refuses to take his hand off the wheel.

Then he says to the officers, ‘I’m a fucking celebrity, do you know who I am? I’m Offset de Migos’.

The cops asked the rapper to get out of the car

Then the officers appear to force open the door.

He added: “You told me to put my hands up, I’m not going to do that.

“There are 25,000 people on my live broadcast. They are going to sue you publicly.”

Another officer tries to open Offset’s door and then the footage quickly ends as he exits the vehicle.

Other clips of passersby in Beverly Hills later show Offset in handcuffs while surrounded by police.

Cardi B also shared videos on her Instagram story where she said she was “scared.”

The entire ordeal quickly spread on social media when supporters called “Free Offset.”

“On 10/24/2020, at approximately 5:02 pm, Beverly Hills police received information from a bystander of a subject pointing a gun at him from a vehicle; in the South Santa Monica BLVd and N. Beverly Drive, “a statement read.

“The passerby provided a license plate to the vehicle, and the vehicle was stopped by patrol units a short distance away. After investigation at the scene, the passenger in the vehicle was arrested.

“The crime victim did not want to press charges for pointing the gun.”

The statement then names Marcelo Almanzar, 20, as arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded gun in public.

“There have been media reports that the artist Offset was arrested. Those reports are inaccurate,” the statement concludes.

A representative for Offset and Cardi B, as well as the Los Angeles police, have been contacted for comment.
