Our survey comes as many of the remainder are pinning their hopes on rejoining the EU after desperate offers to stop Brexit have failed.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson struck a deal with Brussels on Christmas Eve, paving the way for the end of the transition period on December 31, more than four years after the referendum.
But the arch-remnant Lord Adonis has insisted that the country be dragged back into the bloc.
On Twitter, he praised Michel Barnier’s speech after winning the 2020 European of the Year by the Irish European Movement. Barnier was the bloc’s main negotiator during the Brexit talks.
The Labor pair said: “Very good speech. The EU is the destiny of Europe and England will meet when our nation regains good leadership.”
Meanwhile, many Remainers have been flooding Twitter with the hashtag #RejoinEU.
In a tweet this morning, one said: “More than ever, we need to strengthen the #FBPE movement and work to rejoin the EU soon. #RejoinEU Let’s do this.”
Another post: “The costs of #BrexitRedTape are paralyzing us! What if we #Rejoin the EU?”

Verhofstadt tweeted: “My ‘last’ word on Brexit.
