Johnson outlined the new measures that people in England will face once the blockade is lifted on December 2. Johnson said: “Unlike previous agreements, the levels will now be a uniform set of rules … We will not have negotiations on additional measures with each region, it is a uniform set of rules. We have learned from experience that there are some things there. that we can do differently.
“So, starting at 10 pm, closing time … we will change so that the last orders are at 10 with closing at 11.
“At levels 1 and 2, spectator sporting and business events will be free to resume in and out with capacity limits and social distancing, providing more consistency with indoor performances in theaters and concert halls.
“We will also strengthen the law enforcement capacity of local authorities, including specially trained officers and new powers to shut down facilities that pose a risk to public health.”

He said: “I’m sorry to say that we expect more regions to fall, at least temporarily, to higher levels than before.”
Johnson also said families should make a “careful judgment” about visiting elderly relatives during Christmas.

He told MPs: “This virus is obviously not going to grant a Christmas truce, it does not know that it is Christmas and families will have to make a careful judgment about the risk of visiting elderly relatives.”
“We will publish a guide for those who are clinically extremely vulnerable on how to manage risk at each level, as well as during Christmas.”
His announcement came after Burnham called on the government to avoid blanket restrictions when the blockade is lifted.
Speaking at the BBC breakfast on Saturday morning, he said: “The opinion we have put to the Government is ‘please don’t just make general shutdowns happen’, we think it is much better to look at a targeted approach.

“I would say, ‘open the gyms, open the leisure centers’, it is going to be very important for people, especially when it is more difficult to exercise outdoors.
“The 10pm curfew, I don’t think it worked earlier this year and I am absolutely sure it will not work in the run-up to Christmas. It will be increasingly difficult to implement.
“What we are saying to the government is to take into account what everyone has been through and judge based on how manageable the situation will be.
“We need simpler and clearer messages for the public, but also something that will not make their lives very, very difficult to handle, especially as we approach Christmas.”

A video clip of Burnham went viral of his reaction to news that Manchester’s level three lockdown funding had been cut to £ 22 million during a live press conference after he turned down an offer of an additional £ 60 million.
