The body of a man believed to be in his 30s was found in a car, police confirmed today.
Lancashire Police made the discovery after officers investigated a concern for a man’s well-being.
Investigations led officers to Liverpool Old Road, just off the A59 near Tarleton, where a parked BMW was found around 5.15pm yesterday.
Police confirmed that a man’s body was found inside.
According to reports, several police vehicles, ambulances and firefighters were called to the scene.

The man, who has not yet been officially named, is believed to have come from the Burscough area.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “Officers investigating a concern for the well-being of a man in his 30s found a car on Liverpool Old Road, off the A59 near Tarleton, at 5.15pm yesterday (29 of November).
“Unfortunately, the agents found the body of a deceased man inside the vehicle.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and his relatives have been informed.
“A file will be passed on to HM Coroner in due course.”
