Premier League chief executive Richard Masters confirmed that the teams will be relegated this season.

UEFA is willing to extend the deadline given to the national leagues to complete the season in a move that could allow Aston Villa to conclude its bid for survival.

Villa is locked in the Premier League relegation battle, but has not played for two months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dijon chief vows to transfer Chouiar amid Villa interest

Aston Villa is being linked with Dijon winger Mounir Chouiar.

The 21-year-old, who joined Dijon de Lens last year, has enjoyed a brilliant campaign in Ligue 1, drawing the attention of several European clubs.

According to French press reports, Villa is among his suitors before the next transfer window.
