“We made a lot of changes, we gave other players opportunities and I think they performed well.”
The Spaniard suggested that keeping his big squad happy was problematic, but will continue to give playing time in the Europa League.
“We have a large squad and I wanted to give everyone opportunities. Today they showed that they were ready when I need them and today they made the selection more difficult for me ”, he added.
“Sometimes it’s about quality, sometimes it’s about the tactical plan of the game. I am very satisfied with today’s performance. “
One man who came off the bench in victory was Willian.
“The way we lost to Leicester was painful … but you have to react immediately with a win.”
