Arsenal are going through a particularly difficult campaign so far, having accumulated just 14 points from as many games.

The Gunners are currently 15th and based on the latest set of predictions, things are not going to get any better for Mikel Arteta’s men.

Arteta has been under real pressure in recent weeks having failed to reverse Arsenal’s disappointing start to the season, and if things continue on the same trend, he may be lucky to keep his job despite being early in his reign.

But the Spaniard faces an uphill battle to turn things around, according to the latest FiveThirtyEight predictions, which suggest a long season for the Gunners.

According to the prediction, Arsenal are on track to finish 12th with just 50 points, 12 points behind Leicester City, which is poised to finish 6th despite their brilliant start to the campaign.

Of course, that near-mid-table finish is far from the worst case for Arsenal, given that they are currently just four points above the drop zone.

But twelfth place is not where they would have wanted to be this quarter, having enjoyed a brilliant finish last season and having spent a fair amount in the summer, signing players like Thomas Partey and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Predictions suggest that Arsenal have only a 2% chance of reaching the Champions League, but on the bright side, they have only a 3% chance of relegation with West Brom (89%), Sheffield United (82%) and Fulham (46%). %) inclined to fall.

According to the data, Manchester City are, perhaps surprisingly, inclined to win the title even though they are currently eight points behind Liverpool with one game less.

Pep Guardiola’s men are inclined to deny the Reds a straight title by just two goals and both sides are predicted to finish with 80 points.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Leicester, in that order, are most likely to complete the rest of the top six with Everton trailing by four points.
