Arsenal full squad revealed for Premier League clash against Everton

Arsenal will finally look to achieve another Premier League victory tonight.

The Gunners are back in action three days after drawing at home to Southampton to face an Everton side that have beaten Chelsea and Leicester City in their last two games.

They finished scoreless in the corresponding match last season and Arsenal returned to Goodison Park on the first anniversary of Mikel Arteta’s appointment after having won just once in their last nine Premier League matches.

With his team languishing in 15th place before kickoff, Arteta has reflected on his time in charge at Emirates Stadium and will be hopeful that he will have a reason to celebrate when full time rolls around.

“Well, I think it’s been one of the most challenging years in the club’s history. For many, many different reasons. I think we’ve come a long way and implemented a lot of positives here that have really, really worked.” good, “Arteta said at his pre-game press conference.

“We have gone through structural changes throughout the club that have obviously shaken it up in a big way. I’d say the highlight of that year is the two trophies we won together. And the most disappointing thing is that we haven’t had our fans with us to take us through this difficult time.

“I think it could have been a very, very positive year, but the recent form in the Premier League has taken on the shine of what we have done in a calendar year.

“But we have to accept that our form in the Premier League in recent weeks has not been good enough.

For tonight’s game in Merseyside, Arteta won’t have as many players from five teams.

Sokratis and Mesut Ozil are not eligible as they are not enrolled in the Premier League team, while Thomas Partey is missing due to a thigh injury.

Granit Xhaka is also unavailable as he is serving the second of his three suspension matches following his red card in a 1-0 loss to Burnley six days ago and Gabriel Magalhaes is also suspended after being sent off against Southampton.

Gabriel Martinelli is back in training after knee surgery and yesterday he was ready for action with the U23s.

However, the 19-year-old was not included in the squad to face Leicester City and some fans believe he will be part of the traveling squad after Arteta said the Brazilian was close to being available.
