Former Birmingham city star Ravel Morrison admits he is “upset” at not having realized more than his vast potential.
Last weekend Morrison was praised by former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney, who claimed that when he was young the Mancunian was a better prospect than other Carrington academy prospects Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard.
And today he responded to those comments, and other recent ones made by Rio Ferdinand, who said he should have become a £ 100 million player, in a revealing interview with talkSPORT.
The attacker, who spent a productive season on loan with Lee Clark in the city of Birmingham in 2012/2013, admitted that he had not shown his best effort, and that he had made mistakes in the past about attitude and application.

“It was an everyday soccer thing when I was young, I used to go there and I loved playing soccer.”
“When you go to a soccer field. Training ground, everything else in your life doesn’t matter, you’re just thinking about soccer, enjoying soccer and laughing.
“All the negativity in my life was blocked during the three hours I was training.
“I wouldn’t say I struggled with the pressure because I really didn’t feel pressure,” added Morrison.
“Maybe some things in my life, when I was young, now I would sit there and not do things or take a different path and things like that.
“Going to Manchester United was a nice environment for everyday world-class players, just plain nice.
“I would say that I was disappointed in those areas: attitude and mentality.
“If I could come back into my life again, there would be many things that I would change.
“I grew up at United, I was there from under 9 years old. I would skip training a few days, and I would wake up and I didn’t know why I did it, but I skipped it. And it’s hard to get me out of training camp now.
“That was ten years ago, obviously that will always stick around me. If I moved in the summer I am pretty sure that someone from the press would get some negativity from ten years ago.
They are my own mistakes, something that I have to raise my hands and move on, I would prefer that I didn’t because it happened when I was 16-17 years old, now I’m 27 years old.
“I definitely haven’t shown my best ability yet, I’ve shown some of what I can do at West Ham and QPR: in the second half of the season when we were promoted with QPR, but other than that, I really haven’t had a gaming career. by seasons
