All the things you can and cannot do on Level 3 as Liverpool immerses itself in new rules

[ad_1]

Now there are more new rules in Liverpool, as the city plunged into Level 3 from midnight.

The restrictions attached to the system came into play this morning after an announcement from Matt Hancock on Wednesday afternoon.

This means that the Liverpool city region will greet the New Year very differently and in the shadow of the ongoing pandemic.

With the Covid-19 situation spiraling out of control in parts of the country and hospitals under enormous pressure, Hancock said more restrictions are required to try to contain the virus.

He announced that millions more people would be placed under the highest level of Level 4 restrictions, which is similar to a national lockdown.

This includes areas such as Greater Manchester, much of Lancashire, Cheshire, and Warrington and Cumbria.

Meet family and friends

You should not meet socially indoors with anyone you don’t live with or don’t have a bubble of support with.

You should not meet socially (in a private garden or in most public places outdoors), with anyone you do not live with, or with whom you do not have a bubble of support.

You can see friends and family you don’t live with (or don’t have a bubble of support with) in some outdoor public places, in a group of up to six.

This limit of six includes children of any age.

Meet in larger groups

There are exceptions where people can continue to meet indoors or in private gardens, or in groups of more than 6, in public places outdoors.

These include as part of a single household, support bubble or child care bubble, to work, for birth partners, to provide emergency assistance, or to see someone who is dying.

Parents with court orders can also comply and legal obligations such as jury duty are also allowed.

Weddings and funerals can still be held, up to a maximum of 30 people.

Businesses that must close

Hospitality environments such as bars (including shisha bars), pubs, cafes, restaurants, and social clubs must close, except for takeout, home delivery, and click-and-collect services.

This includes restaurants and bars within hotels or member clubs.

Accommodations such as hotels, B & Bs, campsites, vacation rentals, and guest houses must close.

These premises can only be opened for a person who cannot return to his main residence, needs it for work reasons, needs it to attend studies or training or needs to attend an appointment or medical treatment.

Indoor gaming centers, trampoline parks, casinos, bingo halls, bowling alleys and ice skating rinks must close under the new rules.

Cinemas, circuses, theaters, and billiard rooms must also close.

Companies that can remain open

Cafes and canteens in hospitals, residences, schools and canteens in the workplace may remain open.

Outdoor sightseeing and entertainment venues may remain open along with outdoor cinemas, theaters, and concert halls.

Outdoor events such as amusement fairs may continue to be held in accordance with COVID safe guidance and sports and leisure facilities may remain open, but group exercise classes should not continue.

Venues in the city center will have been preparing for New Years Eve

Commercial premises may open, except for shops located within closed premises that cannot be accessed directly from the street; the commercial premises within the accommodation can also remain open.

Close contact and personal care services such as hair salons and barbers, beauty salons, tattoo parlors, nail salons, spas and beauty services, saunas, steam rooms, massage parlors, and tanning salons may remain open.

Going to work

To help contain the virus, everyone who can work effectively from home should do so.

When people are unable to do so, including but not limited to people working in critical domestic infrastructure, construction or manufacturing, they should continue to travel to their workplace.

This is essential for the country to continue to function and support sectors and employers.

Public sector employees working in essential services, including childcare or education, must continue to work.

Go to school, college and university

The government has made it a priority to ensure that all children and youth can safely attend school and university, to support their well-being and education, and to assist working parents and guardians.

All students must continue to attend school and universities, unless they are required to isolate themselves, when their school and university must provide them with high-quality remote education.

Trip

Whenever possible, you should stay local and avoid traveling outside of your local area, that is, your town or town, or part of a city.

People should continue to travel for reasons such as work, education, medical care or if they have care responsibilities.

You can still travel to places that are open, or for reasons like work or education, but you should reduce the number of trips you take whenever possible.

Regardless, you should avoid traveling outside of your level 3 area, except for the reasons mentioned above.

Places of worship

You may attend places of worship for a service.

However, you should not mix with anyone outside your home or support bubble.

Move to another house

You can still move home.
