‘Adama Traore is crying’: Stoke City fans react to the Wolves Carabao Cup draw

Stoke City will face the Wolves in the second round of the Carabao Cup after today’s draw took place.

The Potters made their way in the final round by beating Blackpool on penalties, but they expect a much better performance at Molineux.

It will be the teams’ first time meeting in the League Cup and Stoke’s first trip to the Wolves since December 2011.

That was a match best remembered by Jonathan Woodgate who ended an experiment as a right back after just 19 minutes when Stoke won 2-1.

We took to Twitter to see what fans had to say about the giveaway and this is what they had to say.

George: “Obi scoring a goal while Adama Traore cries because he can’t get past Danny Batth.”

David Keen: “North Staffordshire versus South. Fortunes have changed, but something is happening in the far north.”

Frosty: “Ah well, we better focus on the league anyway.”

Martin Eagles: “The Danny Batth Derby”.

Stokerman: “Let us not fear. Mikel and Allen are with us.”

Harry: “Easy work.”

Lemurid: “Trash that … I wanted a great club.”
