A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds to the head after the armed police rushed onto a street in Wirral.
A large police presence was called to Shackleton Road, in Moreton, Wirral, on Saturday afternoon at approximately 4.20 p.m.
Officers said they found a young man in his 20s with stab wounds to the head.
The man was rushed to the hospital for an evaluation of his injuries, police said, which were not life threatening.

Shortly after finding the man, they called armed police officers and detained a nearby suspect.
The force said that a 26-year-old man Wallasey was arrested on suspicion of intentional injury in Section 18 and taken to a police station for questioning.
Detective Inspector Gary Stratton helped: “Although a suspect has been promptly arrested, we are still looking to speak to anyone who has seen or heard of this incident, so that we can determine exactly what happened.”
“Knife crime has no place in our communities at any time, and we will do everything in our power to continue removing those responsible and their weapons from the streets.”
