AMIR Khan and his wife have been criticized for a prank on their son, telling him that Hollywood star Bradley Cooper is his father.
The boxer, 33, and Faryal Makhdoom, 28, filmed the tearful reaction of Lamaisah, five, when he heard that Amir was not his biological father.
The couple has been described as “cruel” by the Instagram clip, in which Faryal was seen showing the boy a photo of the actor Bradley on his phone.
Then he points to Amir and says, “That is not your true father. This is your true father.
Former world welterweight champion Amir, 33, adds: “Do you want to talk to your dad?”
They then established a fake phone call with an assistant named Carl at his gym.
Faryal adds a caption to the clip, saying, “Carl on the phone pretending to be the father.”
He says to the boy, “I’ve missed you. Is your mom okay? Have you been a good girl?
Then he accidentally connects to FaceTime and sees Carl’s face.
Breaks into tears
She bursts into tears when Faryal says, “We are joking.”
Lamaisah yells, “I don’t like jokes.”
The clip included a laughing emoji that said “he joked with my daughter”.
A source said: “It is so cruel. The poor girl was clearly distressed and just thought it was funny.”
The video was viewed 9,000 times and garnered over 70 comments before it was removed.
Amir and Faryal were asked to comment.
