Britain’s Got Talent aired mind-blowing scenes on Saturday night, which left everyone including the judges in shock.
Many were left wondering how Magical Bones, the real name Richard Essien, accomplished his impressive card trick, and even more so his impressive illusion.
The applicant, who was joined on stage by four assistants, managed to perform a double deception.
He even appeared in more than one place at a time, with viewers as shocked as judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and David Walliams when the events unfolded.
Richard started with a card trick, asking Simon to take a card from the deck and sign it.
Said card was pushed again and shuffled, making it “lost”, only for Richard to find it again.
His technique saw him toss the entire package into the air before flipping it back, catching the particular card Simon had signed earlier.
Since Alesha could not believe what she had witnessed, she had no idea what awaited them all.
Richard introduced the judges to his assistant Sarah, before joining three other members of his act on stage.
Sarah stood near the judges’ desk, holding a yellow scarf that Richard had told the judges moments before that it belonged to a magician who inspired his act.
When one of them climbed onto a glass box placed on the stage, the others sealed it with 15 swords, meaning there was no way out.
The same two, helped by Richard, rolled over onto a large rail with a silver curtain around three of the sides so that it was now around the box, before they covered it completely.
When Richard spoke to the judges, he also stepped onto the now fully closed curtain rail, only for the girl inside him to wear a yellow sweater to get out.
Richard now seemed to be in the box instead, with those on stage swinging the railing back.
When everyone started pulling out the swords, something inexplicable happened, as it turned out that it wasn’t Richard in the box, but Sarah.
Somehow Sarah had left the stage side in addition to Simon, and was now in the box while Richard was gone.
Suddenly she pointed to where she had been standing, and Richard was there now holding the handkerchief.
He and Sarah also seemed to change the jumpers so he was black and she was red.
Simon and the others stared in disbelief at what had happened right next to him, with viewers greatly impressed by the act.
Britain’s Got Talent airs on Saturdays at 8 p.m. on ITV.
