The Secretary of Housing said during the daily coronavirus press conference that those whom the NHS has identified as the most vulnerable will receive a package of food and staples once a week. Jenrick added that the UK Government will have delivered 1,000,000 packages in the coming days. The conservative MP also described a £ 76 million financing package to help victims of domestic abuse.
Jenrick said: “For those who have been identified by the NHS as extremely clinically vulnerable due to underlying health conditions, there are now just 1.8 million people in England.”
“For those in the protection group who do not have supportive family or friends, we have offered to provide a weekly basic package of food and essentials.
“I am pleased to say today that we expect the # 1 armored package to be delivered in the coming days.
“This service is unprecedented.

“Nothing on this scale has been attempted in this country at least since World War II.
“I am incredibly proud of the team that helped us deliver it.”
The Secretary of Housing also described the financing of a project to support those who suffer domestic abuse.
He said: “Today I can announce a £ 76 million package in new funds to support the most vulnerable.”
Worldwide there have been more than 3,400,000 cases of COVID-19.
The death toll has reached more than 240,000 at the time of writing.
More than 1,000,000 people have recovered from the coronavirus worldwide.
The United States has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the world with more than 1,100,000 confirmed cases.
