Costa Coffee is reopening another 29 stores for delivery and tours across the UK tomorrow.
It comes after the main street coffee chain, which closed all branches when the UK closed on March 23, opened two branches for delivery and two for sale last week.
Costa CEO Jill McDonald said: “Last week we made the decision to reopen two Drive-Thru lanes and two stores for delivery only in accordance with the latest government advice.
“The safety of our team members and customers is our number one priority, and prior to the reopening of these stores, we have implemented new social distancing guidelines, improved hygiene procedures, and are providing personal protective equipment to teams.
“We are very pleased with how well our store teams have been able to adapt to our new ways of working, allowing us to serve great coffee as safely as possible.

“We have also received great feedback from our customers and key workers who take the opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved coffee break during essential trips to or from work.
“Starting tomorrow (May 2) we will increase the number of Drive-Thru lanes and stores open for delivery through Uber Eats.”
During the past month, the coffee chain has kept some stores open within hospitals to serve NHS staff.
Starting May 2, 19 of the branches will be open for delivery, while 14 will be available for driving only.
Mr. McDonald added: “As part of the reopening of these additional stores, we continue to help everyone who keeps the country moving, delivering thousands of our ready-to-drink Costa Coffee cans to key workers near the reopening of those stores. , including NHS hospitals, police and fire stations, and call centers. It’s just one of our little tokens of thanks to the people who are giving so much.

“While most of our stores remain closed, we continue to pay 100% of our store team members and are incredibly grateful to those who volunteered to work at these reopening stores and to those who managed our first four stores last week. ”
