All home and home workers will receive a £ 500 gift from the Welsh government.

“I want our social care workforce to know that their hard work is appreciated and recognized. This payment is designed to provide greater recognition of the value we attribute to everything they are doing. He recognizes that this group of people is providing the invisible scaffolding of services that support both our NHS and our society at large. “

It is understood that 64,600 people will receive the gift in Wales, which will be administered by local authorities.

England announced that it would offer testing to all staff and residents, but Wales and Scotland will only offer testing to those with symptoms.
Today’s announcement follows the announcement of the death in service payment for families across the NHS and social care staff by Health and Social Services Minister Vaughan Gething on Tuesday.
This scheme will provide eligible beneficiaries a lump sum of £ 60,000 and will apply to those who work in front-line positions and places where personal care is provided to people who may have contracted coronavirus.
