An NHS worker was shocked after discovering that someone had removed the hood and headlights of her car during her shift.
Helen Dawes, 44, was at Wales University Hospital, Cardiff, when the security team told her what had happened to her white Ford Fiesta. She says key workers are already under enough pressure during the coronavirus crisis.
Now the daycare nurse, who is caring for the children of hospital staff, is being driven to the hospital as her car is not safe for the road. She said: ‘You go to work in this crisis and you get a phone call like that. You just think why would someone want to do something like that?
After reporting the incident around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dawes says he was allowed to drive his vehicle home, provided it wasn’t on the highway.
