Lionel Messi celebrated a record 768 games for Barcelona with two goals in the Spanish giants’ 6-1 win over Real Sociedad in La Liga.
The 33-year-old Argentine forward took one game away from former midfielder Xavi’s total when Barça closed the gap with leader Atlético de Madrid by four points.
Antoine Griezmann opened the scoring, with Sergino Dest (two) and Ousmane Dembele also finding the net.
Messi has already scored 23 league goals so far this season.
