Labor says Johnson misled MPs when he claimed he voted against nurses’ pay hike
PMQs have ended, but Jonathan Ashworth, the shadow health secretary, asks a point of order. It says Boris Johnson twice on PMQ claimed that the Labor Party voted against the NHS funding bill and opposed the proposed 2.1% increase in nurses’ pay. That’s not true, says Ashworth. He says that in the debate on the bill he made it clear that Labor was not voting against it.
Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the spokesman, says Ashworth has made his point clear.
There is no response from Johnson, who has already left the chamber.
