The Reading and Leeds festivals will go ahead this year, it has been confirmed.

The news was confirmed by festival organizers on social media following this week’s announcement about the relaxation of the blocking rules.

The tweet read: “Following the recent government announcement, we cannot wait to return to the fields this summer.” It was labeled “Come on!”

Festivals will take place on the August holiday and confirmed headliners include Stormzy, Post Malone, Liam Gallagher, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Disclosure, and Queens Of The Stone Age.

This time the festivals will feature two main stages, and the organizers promise fans that “there will be no clashes.”

Organizers also plan to recruit other artists to join the already packed lineup, with the website indicating that “many more” will be announced.

Tickets are on sale now for the festival, with renewed interest in briefly shutting down the website following the announcement.

There is a selection of ticket packages available, including single-day, weekend or VIP tickets, and fans can pay in installments.

The news comes after last month’s announcement that the Glastonbury Festival would be canceled for the second year in a row.

In a tweet, the organizers said: “With great regret, we must announce that this year’s Glastonbury Festival will not take place and that this will be another mandatory fallow year for us.

“Despite our efforts to move Heaven and Earth, it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the Festival happen. We are very sorry to disappoint you all.

“Like last year, we would like to offer all those who obtained a ticket in October 2019 the opportunity to carry over their deposit of £ 50 to next year and guarantee the opportunity to purchase a ticket to Glastonbury 2022.”
