Premier League clubs have discussed the negative impact the Fantasy Premier League is having regarding the team’s news leak.

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish was ruled out of yesterday’s clash with Leicester City due to injury, but many already knew from FPL.

Athletic has denounced their teammates Matt Targett, Conor Hourihane [on loan at Swansea City] and Neil Taylor transferred the 25-year-old from their team before his injury was confirmed.

Other staff members did too, including physio Rob Marshall.

Information on FPL is fairly easy to obtain and there is currently no Premier League regulation on this.

It is believed that staff could be encouraged not to select players from their own teams to provide crucial information.

Villa coach Dean Smith spoke about Grealish’s injury after Sunday’s 2-1 loss and was aware of the news.

He said: “I have been informed that there were some rumors on social media that he was not going to play. If he leaves our training ground, then I find out where he is coming from and reprimand where he is coming from. From.

“Yes, it certainly does [give a leg up] and it’s something I wouldn’t be happy with, so we’ll certainly get to the bottom of this. “
