Three people were questioned today after a burglary at a Southport fashion store last night.
Just before 10:20 p.m. Friday, officers were called to the Flannels clothing store on Tulketh Street to receive reports of a car colliding with the front of the facility.
Exterior and interior damage was caused and several Canada Goose and Moncler coats were stolen.
The criminals are believed to have used a black Ford Kuga that was reported stolen the same day from Bowring Park Road in Childwall between 2.30 and 3.30 pm
At 11:45 p.m., patrols spotted a black Audi A3 car on Ince Road in Thornton and officers pulled it over.
During a search of the car, several Moncler coats with labels and flannel hangers were found and seized, and the occupants of the car were detained.
A 24-year-old man from Fairfield, a 23-year-old man from Croxteth and a 20-year-old woman from Liverpool city center were arrested on suspicion of theft and handling of stolen property. They have been detained for interview.

Detective Inspector Chris Smith said: “It’s terrifying to think that someone could target a store in this way, especially at such a challenging time for business.
“This ram raid has caused significant damage and major inconvenience to a store in our community, and we are eager to hear from anyone who has seen the incident or captured the vehicle in question on CCTV or camera in or around the area at 10:20 PM for the last night.
