What the Met Office Weather Warnings Say About Ice and Snow

The current advisory, which has been active since midnight and should stay in place until 11 a.m., reads: “Icy patches and winter rains can cause some travel disruption.

“Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer travel times by road, bus and train.

“Some slip and fall injuries on icy surfaces. Probably some patches of ice on some untreated roads, sidewalks and bike lanes.”
