David Moyes admits that his West Ham United team had no response to the pressure from Liverpool, as they were beaten by the Premier League champions.
Two goals from Mohamed Salah and one from Gini Wijnaldum turned Craig Dawson’s latest effort into mere consolation as the Reds clinched a 3-1 Premier League win in London on Sunday.
Liverpool dominated possession against a Hammers team that had won their last six games and entered the game just two points behind their opponents in fifth place.
But Moyes acknowledged that West Ham could have “no complaints” with the result.
“I thought we competed the best we could, but I don’t think we played as well as we could,” the Hammers boss said.
“They are a really good team and they were too strong for us.
“Liverpool is not a team we are challenging. We want to challenge in individual matches, but their consistency throughout the season will be much higher as we have seen throughout the year.
“They played much better than us. We cannot have complaints. “
Added Moyes: “We came into the game very confident, but Liverpool made it very difficult for us and we didn’t do the things that we have been doing really well.

“We didn’t put the ball down and play, but we gave it away and, in the moments we had it, our key players didn’t.
“I would attribute it to the pressure from Liverpool, they were very, very good and chased us at every opportunity.
“There are three or four teams in the Premier League better than the rest, it is obvious and Liverpool is in that category.”
